Pollen
Pollen is an essential part of the reproduction of flowering plants. It is produced by the male reproductive organs of flowers, the stamens. Each pollen grain contains the male gametes that will be transferred to the female reproductive organs of flowers to initiate fertilization. Pollen is usually transferred from one flower to another by wind, insects, or other pollinating animals. This process of pollination is crucial for plant reproduction and the production of fruits and seeds. Pollen can also cause allergies in some sensitive individuals, manifesting in symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and difficulty breathing.
